William Henry “Bill” Miller, 85, of South Sioux City, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Abiding by family wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Reverend Michael Awe officiating. Bill was born on March 1, 1939, in South Sioux City, to Henry B. and Lillie (Laird) Miller. He’s been a lifelong resident of South Sioux City, and an entrepreneur of many businesses including a gas station, pizza joint, auto parts, and groceries. He retired from owning Bill’s World in Sioux City in the early 2010’s. 

Bill was a faithful Lutheran, belonging to Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, having married his wife Jane Cameron on Nov. 28, 1958, at the church, teaching Sunday School, along with being church president for several years. He enjoyed fishing, pie baking, card making, cooking of all types, making of chocolate malts, coffee with friends, donuts, and especially spending time with family.

Bill is survived by his wife Jane of South Sioux City; children Rick (Tammy) Miller of Kingsley, Iowa, Billy (Lisa) Miller of Forest Lake, Minn., and Darren (Jenni) Miller of South Sioux City; grandchildren Ashley Miller, Shelby Miller, Andrew Miller, Nichole (Robert) Sigafus, Victoria (Nick) Epps, Justin Miller, Cassandra Miller, Brandon Miller, and Tanner Miller; and great-grandchildren Kaden Anton, Addie Anton, Izaiah Anton, Bella Anton, Tempest Anton, Rowan Anton, Madison Miller, Justin Jr. Miller, Benny Miller, Ivory Miller, and Houston Miller.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, eldest sister Darlene Smith of Midland, Texas, brother Marvin Miller of South Sioux City, and brother Melvin Miller of Bloomington, Minn.
